Samsung Galaxy S20

The Samsung Galaxy S20 is an impressive smartphone because of its power, appealing design, and new features including a 5G, 120Hz display, and improved main cameras.

The best Android phone at a lower cost is the Samsung Galaxy S20. It includes a USB C cable, a SIM ejector tool, a 25W charging plug, and a set of headphones.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 resembles the company’s flagship model. It captures images in the manner in which a flagship phone should.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Design and Display

The Samsung S20 features a 6.2-inch, 3040 x 1440-pixel Quad-HD display. A 120Hz refresh rate is the Samsung S20’s largest improvement.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 has a smaller screen and is simple to operate with one hand.

If we compare it with other phones, the refresh rate is two times higher. This refresh rate allows for smooth scrolling and animations.

It weighs 163g and is dust and water-resistant according to IP68 standards.

As we know that the Samsung Galaxy S20’s screen size has increased, and the Samsung Galaxy S10’s dimension is 6.1 inches, therefore there is only a 0.1-inch difference between the two devices.

The Galaxy S20 features one of the greatest smartphone screens currently on the market. If you’re looking for a high-end phone screen that won’t weigh down your pocket, you’ll enjoy the 563 pixels per inch that this phone delivers.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 does not have a headphone port, thus you will need to purchase an adapter for 3.5mm wired headphones. Glass makes up the screen’s front side, giving it a luxury feel.

Cloud pink, Cloud blue, Cosmic Gray, Cloud White, and Aura Red are the five colors available for the Samsung Galaxy S20. Except for Aura red, all the colors are lighter.

However, not every store will have every color. Only in the United States and Australia are Cloud Pink, Cosmic Gray, and Cloud Blue available.

A 64 MP telephoto lens, a 12 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12 MP wide lens make up the triple rear camera in the Samsung Galaxy S20.

A 10MP selfie camera is included. When it comes to video quality, this phone is a beast; it can capture 8k clips at a rate of 24 frames per second.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Software and Performance

The Octa-core Snapdragon 865 CPU in the Samsung Galaxy S20 provides excellent overall performance. It has 128 GB of storage memory and 12 GB of RAM.

There isn’t a variant for 256 GB, but a microSD card slot allows you to increase capacity by up to 1 TB.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 has a quicker processing speed thanks to its Octa-core Snapdragon 865 CPU.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 has the best multi-core score of 3147 on Geekbench 5, which measures overall performance.

The Galaxy S20 topped the OnePlus 7T, which got 1169, on the GFXBench graphics test, scoring 1319 frames (21 frames per second).

I used the Adobe Rush application to apply transitions and various effects to a 4K clip before converting it to 1080p to evaluate the Galaxy S20’s performance in real-world situations.

While I performed a similar activity on the Samsung Galaxy S10, which completed it in 1 minute and 34 seconds, the Samsung Galaxy S20 took 1 minute and 15 seconds to complete it.

The Galaxy S20 offers the best first opportunity for common people to purchase a 5G smartphone at an affordable price.

Only 1 percent of the smartphones that were shipped in 2019 were 5G devices, and the majority of those were pricey variants of 4G flagships.

Android 10 is the standard operating system for the Galaxy S20, although Samsung’s One UI overlays and will therefore look different from previous Android phones you may have used, the interface is appealing and simple to use.

Samsung equips the phone with a huge amount of its apps, but if you don’t want them, you can uninstall the majority of them and stay with Google’s pre-installed apps.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Battery Life

There is a significant battery difference between the Samsung Galaxy S10 and S20, with the S20 having a 4000mAh battery compared to the S10’s 3400mAh battery.

That has undoubtedly paid off, as the Galaxy S20 has a strong battery life that will easily get you through a full day of average use.

I frequently found that the phone still had about 20% of its charge left when I got home after a day of what I would consider very heavy use.

The battery life of the Samsung Galaxy S20 can last up to 11 to 12 hours. S22 Pro lasts 10 hours, and 31 minutes, in comparison.

The 25-watt charging adaptor that comes with the Samsung Galaxy S20 can charge the phone 53 percent in 30 minutes. The device also supports 15 watts of wireless charging.

The Samsung S20 includes reverse wireless charging, which lets you use your S20 to charge other devices that supports Qi charging, similar to the S10 handsets from a year ago.

For instance, if you own a set of Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Plus wireless earbuds, you can charge them on the back of your phone.

You can even lend your phone battery to a friend’s compatible phone, but keep in mind that doing so may significantly drain your battery.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Price

Samsung Galaxy S20 (128 GB) $999

Conclusion

After the testing, I would like to conclude that the Samsung Galaxy S20 is an expensive phone, costing $999. However, it is the cheap phone of the Galaxy series.

Its small size makes it simple to fit in a backpack or pocket. The battery life of this phone, though, is its worst flaw.

The battery drains faster when we use a 120Hz refresh rate. It can protect the phone’s screen from dust and is water-resistant.

The three back cameras provide great picture quality and strong zoom, which is a plus.

Overall, it is a great phone that you should get, but if you require a phone with a larger display, there are alternative models available for the same price.
